Contax T
Kyocera introduced a series of highly successful T-series compact 35mm film cameras, offering Zeiss-designed lenses which appealed to photographers desiring high quality optics in a compact form.
The original Contax T offers a rangefinder with 0.60x magnification. A compact titanium body designed by Porsche with a very impressive five element Sonnar T* 38/2.8 lens.

Shooting a Leica M2 and M3, I can highly recommend this camera when you want to travel light or when a Leica M is just to heavy.
Color and black & white negative film are very well exposed and sharp. The Contax T has an aperture priority exposure system, that is very accurate in almost all conditions. It features also a backlight compensation button. The rangefinder is a little small, but my copy is very clean and bright, so I have no problem to get accurate focus.
I prefer the Contax T over the Olympus XA for ergonomic, build quality and lens. The Contax is more expansive than the Olympus and hard to find in good condition.
The rendering of the Sonnar lens is superb and has a very nice signature between modern and classic. Even the cheap Fujifilm C200 comes out very nice.
Close distance is only 1 Meter, but you get used to that.
The shutter is very quiet and makes it perfect for street shooting.
A fixed focus mark on the focusing ring indicates the focusing range at aperture f8, Everything will be in focus from about 2 meters to infinity.
Happy shooting and thanks for coming by...
